Japanese culture applies drum sounds

2019-11-15

On the fifth and sixth of November this year, students of Jonas Jablonski Gymnasium were given the opportunity to hear the sounds of Japanese drumming.

By attending a Japanese-made concert show, we had the opportunity to try out the peace drums ourselves, learning more about Japanese culture and their traditions.

Taiko is a traditional Japanese percussion form inspired by martial arts. It is said that earlier in the Land of the Rising Sun, the drum beats had a special impact on the soldiers, boosting their morale and attitude. Now, these drum music concerts are enjoyed by people fascinated by Japanese culture.

We are happy to have experienced it too.
